dude, i spent 5 hours + on that paint on forza 3. you dont just scan the photo's in and they magically get on the car, you have to make them like you make the emblems on black ops by adjusting the size, skew, rotation, etc of basic shapes. the overclockers one took ~100 layers (shapes) and the antec one took about 80, and the rest of the paint took about 150 layers.

Thats a bit rude, plenty of people tried me including. Why'd you even post?

Its not like I go and see Colossus every day and get the guy who rebuilt it to do a pic for me is it.

Okay, I'll rephrase it, very few people tried. Personally I think the Forza 3 one is the best on here, however, there are many where it was just whacked on with paint.

I'm hoping the Photo's > Photoshop is gonna work in my favour

The PSU/cooler is what i really wanted anyway, i'm not a fan of the Lanboy air (although i'd still use it if i won

) and i guess the LAnboard would be useful.

And fans are always nice

I did a lot for mine. I had to go out and buy and print a t-shirt and stickers, buy face paint, get painted (much trial and error), think of how to attach all the parts to myself, find someone to take the image, balance all of that (not easy), make it look decent, get an image where everything was perfect which is hard with so many parts and having to stay still, picking what would work and what wouldn't, making sure it met the requirements etc etc etc. And I included myself in the pictures.

i hope they dont count my photo as a photoshop, he says having totally forgot about that bit.

i'm also not a fan of the looks of the lanboy, but it sure as hell beats my elite 342 as a case.

whats this lanboard thing?

Its a wheeled base for the lanboy.
I love the look on the chasis though (cant really be called a case can it....like calling the Ariel atom a normal car).

And effort....pfft.....you lot get a 4 year old to sit long enough to take a photo without breaking anything or staring into the camera saying "CHEESEEEE" (we've got like 50 naff photos because she looked at us), then we'll be in the same boat

As mentioned above, the images take longer than it may seem.
Took me an hour to find a place here that would print in color, then another hour to find a decent place for the pic.

Most people have made a decent effort and I think its going to be hard for the judges

Lanboard is apparently a sort of platform with wheels to make it easier to move you rig around, for example moving it from your car to a LAN.

The prize would be and epic start for the rig I have planned (if I can raise enough money for the rest of the parts

)

She saw a picture of lanboy earlier and started going "Daddy...look, legooooo", so I think if I somehow managed to win, it'll be her little play thing (starting to build a basic PC for her to play games on...she lurvees the games).....then Ill subtly swap it for my child friendly case so she cant get her fingers stuck in any of the holes.

I respect that

Me and my girlfriend took around 100-120 pictures, and my speakers and power supply fell on the floor during the photo shoot, so I definitely sacrificed comfort and hopefully not a key component of my build
