Ive checked out several reviews, looked at as many pictures as I can find and well I just can't get past the look of it, it's hideous in my opinion...

Yes a lot of the features are cool, but I cant help feel that they could have done something clever keeping the good looks of the 1200 and 902

What are your thoughts?

It's a big step down from the 1200 WHAT WERE THEY THINKING! :P

The whole plastic front looks hideous.

I kinda like the idea of the opening fan trays on the front, but they totally screwed the looks up on it. I'd much rather have a serious, clean looking case that this OTT lump of turd.

as an onwer of a 1200 I quite like certain aspects of the case however it could be a little more slick I have purchased a 800d as I am working towards watercooling for my current rig. but that dark fleet is fugly!

There are a few interesting features, such as the hotswappable SSD bay at the top and the modular fan and filter bays at the front. No doubt stock air flow in the case would be excellent, built in fan controllers are a nice touch too.

However the FleetBay movable internal hotswap ports seem to be badly thought out because they intrude so deeply into the main part of the chassis, potentially fouling against GFX cards and cables. The latches in front of the 5 1/4" bays also make no sense and would probably **** me off no end, they're a prime example of poor aesthetic getting in the way of basic functionality.

I think that if I was a fan of this sort of industrial styling I'd prefer to grab something like a CM-HAF case. That said, it'll be interesting to see what they come up with as the Dark Fleet series matures.

EDIT:

Oh, and I really hope that we see a stable pin-out for USB3 sometime soon. Having to route a cable out to the back-panel blinking frustrating.

same flaws as previous antec cases, not enough space for long graphics cards needs a lot more space really- and while they gone up to 120/140mm fans? everyone else gone to 200-230mm fans everywhere in the case, so more cooling/less noise.

Id have to go for the coolermaster haf x case for cooling/performance and overall size and goodness. There doesnt seem to be anything remotely close to its cooling performance that side 200mm fan blowing onto the hot gpu/system just a win really, shame Corsair cases dont have that since they catered for just about everything else otherwise id consider them better then the haf x, just my opinion mind.

the thing with this is that they have tried to copy the looks of the coolermaster haf series - with disastrous consequences as you can clearly see. a few cool features though

Honestly they should have thrown those features into a 1200 or come up with a 1500 for us to perv at...
