Antec Nine Hundred - removing the top fan?

Hi

I am supposing that as Antec sell the 200mm fan as a spare part, it is possible to remove it somehow?. I have located the 4 plastic lugs holding the top panel down at the back end and in the middle, but there doesent seem to be anything else i can access near the front, and something else defintely seems to be stopping it from lifting. Has anyone else successfully done this?

Theres 2 at the front. Its a right fart on taking it off.good luck. you are gonna need it.

should they be visible? - i can only imagine the 2 you mention are above the 5.25 cage structure, which is riveted in place as far as i can tell.

Hi joe

Did you unscrew the two small screws located just by the fan hole inside the case ?. One is the earth for the case so dont forget to re attach it.

There are 2 of those plastic clips right in the front, yes they are above the metalwork of the case. Very very difficult to get to. I used a really long screwdrives to push and prise them off. You cant see them.

I ended up managing what i needed to do without removing the top panel & fan. But will keep a copy of this thread for future reference
