I'm in the middle of trying to build a new machine and the case is giving me problems.

I may be being dense but how do you get the non-windowed side panel off. With the windowed panel you just have to unscrew and turn the knobs and it slides down easily but the panel on the other side just won't come off.

The Motherboard tray comes out fine. It's to remove the front bezel. There's six plastic clips holding the front on, three on each side and I can't get in at the three on the other side of the case and from the design of it I can't see any way that even someone with small hands could really reach them.

Hmm, as you look at the case you need to remove the left side panel, and then grabbing the front panel at the bottom, yank that off (careful off the wire that powers the bloo leds) and then undo the 2 front thumb screws for the right panel, and then the two at the back... and it should just slide off

So to clarify, the right panel won't come off unless the front is off?

yes
you pull the front off from the bottom first
then you can see the thumbscrews at the front (also on the back)

if you really want to set it off get the akasa fan controller too

i would like some help with the p160 and decided to jsut hijack this thread as it seems to be dead.
I have a problem with *** plastic drive cover provided by antec. The push button doesn't reach my dvdrw eject button properly, so when using the fascia, i can;t open *** drive using the push button

i have been tryiong for hours to mod the thing by putting selotape and cardboard pieces on *** button end trying to pad it out just enough that when i push it, the drive will open..

however, i keep failing. anything i add is either not rigid enough or too thick ..
please advice on what to do
thanks

To have this exact problem, with my old NEC drive it was fine and worked without problems. I got the new model and it will not work! Ive just had to give up and place it in a drive holder with no bezel, looks naff but not much else i can do :(

you could just use the eject button on the drive but i don;t really want to do that.. there must be a way to mod the bloody thing to make it work,, i iwll keep on trying

i managed to get it to work stick a broad piece of plastic that is both thin and quite rigid.. those high quality laminated business card seem to do the trick for me..

it provide me with the just enough thickness to enable the buttons to reach

I had this case last year and had the same problems with the eject button. However, if I remember rightly, remove the front cover and just inside the panels is a slide that you can move so that the bezel button connects to the dvd/cd eject button. Hope this helps.

hi,
cna you give more specific instruction, i tried looking for the slide to mov ethe button but i cna't findt it.. my current mod is a bit touch and go

Remove the side panel and then remove the front cover. Inside the front cover look for the eject button (near the drop down opening your cd/dvd will be using) and there should be a slide mechanism on it that you can move left/right. Moving this makes the case button connect to the cd/dvd eject button. Hope I've explained it a bit more for you, kinda hard to remember exactly as I don't have the case anymore :)
