My current main rig runs off an Su380 and has the following. Nothing is OCed and probably will never be any time in the future

4600 x2 AMD
7950GT
2gb ram ddr3200 (dual channel running at cas 3)
250gb seagate HDD
Asus A8N SLI SE

I am wanting to upgrade the gfx card but I am not sure if I can run anything more powerfull with my current PSU. Are there any gfx card upgrades i can get that will run off this PSU or I am at the thin edge of the wedge and need to get a new PSU ?

This is my main gaming rig which is why I want to upgrade the gfx so I can play the new release games at higher settings and possibly move over to vista at some point and upgrade to dx10

You'd be pushing it I guess, I doubt the amps on 12 would be enough to handle a more powerful card.

As krooton says it might be just about possible but I think you would be on the edge which is not a good place for a PSU to be, less efficient and likely to lead to a shorter lifespan.

My brother's PC has an Atec 380W and runs the following:

E2140@ 3GHz
2Gb RAM
8800GTS
160Gb HDD
DVD Drive

I'd say give it a shot with an 8800 GTS. It'll probably work fine. If not, then upgrade to something a bit beefier.:)
