hey, about to reformat my computer in the morning im after a list of the best latest and free anti virus, firewall and spyware etc that i might need.

lightweight pls its a gaming machine :p
 
Check out Avast for the free anti-virus, It is pretty low on system resource. For a firewall check out Comodo firewall, it is free and probably the best software firewall to use. As for anti-spyware search the forums, there was a thread yesterday about it I think.

I agreed up until here. Opera is a very secure browser no doubt, but FF is most definitely not compared to IE in protected mode. The only thing FF has is decent extensions. If you're not going to use them, stick with IE or Opera.

Noscript and adblock are 2 great extensions as an example
