The BT guy is bang on - high resistance fault, hard to get either your adsl or telephony provider to be accountable for though. If you can't get BT retail to fix it get ya ISP to send an engineer and hope it won't cost £144 plus VAT
After much back and forth between pipex and BT, i'm finally getting a BT engineer out tomorrow afternoon.
I have to say tho, both BT and Pipex customer services have been excellent! I'v been very impressed with both despite what i'v heard and read about them.
Just hoping the engineer will find presumed 'high open' and fix it tomorrow, the connection has been unuseable for weeks.
All going well tomorrow i'll post a hopeful conclusion from my working again line.
UPDATE 2: Engineer has been, did the hawk test, found fault on pole out back door. Said the crimps had eroded and replaced them, all is working perfectly now.
