I'm having some trouble with a project and need some help if anyone can offer it?

I have managed to create some extruded nurb typography, the words 'Introducing Unsigned'. Along with a floor, a sky and a light which is all looking good so far. However I'm having a lot of difficulties painting/texturing the extrusion and the face separately, and I can't find any tutorials that will help. I also need to set up the background and animate some effects (ie texture transparency, camera move and some environmental particles etc).

Basically I'm trying to do an animated 3D version of this:

Yet so far all I have is this:

It is probably a quick job for someone to create the scene if they are ready and willing to help. I can do the camera moves and animation bits myself.

Even a point in the right direction would be useful.

Thanks!

It's been a long while since I did any c4d stuff but a really good place for tutorials and help is c4dcafe.com

There are plenty of very good tutorials there for pretty much everything that you've mentioned. You might have to register to access them though. Enjoy!

To get that effect im going to assume that it was initially fleshed out in a 3d package and then finished off in Photohsop, you wont be able to get the grunge effect like that entirely in a 3d package... well you might but it would be quicker to add it in photoshop afterwards.

It was indeed.

There was a Computer Arts tutorial a while back showing you how to create the above image and it involved taking the plain image on white background in to photoshop to apply the colour and textures.
