I know tft's are 'in' but all the ones I have experienced have been a let down. so I wanna know how many of us still have a good old CRT that we game on?
imo they cant be beaten.

24" Sony GDM-FW900 CRT here, Excellent monitor I wouldnt trade it for any current LCD.

I have a 22" Lacie Electron 22 blue and a 22" IIYAMA VisionMaster Pro 514.

Are the Lacies worth the money they are commanding second hand? someone is trying to sell some at £150 plus £40 delivery cost on a certain website. They are all 3 years old.. seems very expensive. They were good at the time but there are better cheaper quality monitors out now that are only around £300-350 brand new? with 0.2 pitch... and just as good res

My current 19"er is bluring in the center after a good ininngs. No way im getting a TFT/LCD. I like my pixels as they are. Can seem to find many places selling a good 19"er or a 21..

Im using a Mitsubishi 19" Diamond Pro since 1998 and i love the picture but im tempted with the 22" Belinea when it arrives. I also have a Mitsubishi 22" Diamond Plus in the loft waiting for a home. Good monitor just very large :)

I got a 17" CRT which I found in a skip next to my 21" TFT. The screen coating has scratches on it so I only use it as a vague second screen.

The only problem with it is natural light penetrates the image so it seems quite dull. When the sun goes round though it produces a bright clear image with the best colours I have seen from a monitor. I got mine for just under £80 last Christmas (literally was very rude and had to get up from the table to put a bid on it before returning to home made Christmas pudding. lol. :D )

I would not have one posted though but keep checking for someone close to you selling.

Devious' one in the loft has the same tube btw. ;)

I've got a 19" Sony HMD-A420. It's served me well but I'm seriously considering moving to a 22" widescreen at Christmas. It's just so damn big and heavy too, as well as very very warm

Hansol 19" over here. Been fine for nearly 4 years now. CRT still better quality that tft, just take up bucket loads of space.

Hansol, got bad memories for those, bought a 710P years ago, it kept going wrong, I ended up with 10 replacements !!!!

I've still got a few 17 inch crts around, my grandad has my Iiyama Vision Master Pro 1413 which I gave to him when I got my TFT, that monitor is still going strong, if my TFT dies may see if he'll swap it with another 17 inch crt I got here.

Only reason I got my TFT was to save space, would lvoe a decent quality 21 inch crt but I just don't have the room for it.

illima 20'' here, but I've just moved to a hanns-g 19'' widescreen TFT
its nice having my desk back, even if the image qual isn't quite the same.

I use a 17" Iiyama VM Pro as my main screen, and also have a 17" Philips 107x4 and a 14" Hansol Mazellan 400A. I used to have a 19" Belinea 10 60 30 but it packed up after 5.5 years of loyal service.

I'd like a better monitor but 21" CRTs are quite expensive, and TFTs still have too many flaws for my liking.

I still use one. My old one just died and i've borrowed a mate's 19" CRT. I've been checking out the thin ones and have decided to save myself a few 100 quid and get another CRT. I don't think LCD/TFT technology is perfected yet.

However, when i see a TFT that beats a CRT i'll get it!

laCie 22" Electron Blue, got it for £50 off eBay - a considerable saving over a 24" tft when the 2407 was ~£700. When i get more desk space i'm planning to pair it up with a 2407 to get the best of both worlds.

me 2

i have a 19 inch DELL branded sony trinitron. They're so much better than the new LCD monitors. If you have the room that is :) They give a much sharper image with better colour and ridiculous viewing angles. They can also support huge resolutions at ludicrous refresh rates - mine can do 120Hz

I still use my trusty Dell M990 19" CRT. In action for almost 7 years now...:)
