Any DrayTek Vigor 2860/N-Plus owners?

Just had another play and it seems to be the call filter causing the issues. I looked at the filter rule itself and all it does it disable NETBIOS. Not sure why that would cause the net to grind to a halt?

I have that same default rule as well, I have no idea why it's affecting you.

Could it possible be conflicting with something at your ISP?

From what I understand, Netbios is Microsoft printer and file sharing. I presume the rule is just opening ports in the firewall for this. Still no idea why this would slow your firewall down.

Well after a few issues, I've gone back to my RT-N66U for now.

Issues I had were:
  • Poor wireless performance. Had to reset numerous devices and/or the router at times.
  • Poor wired performance now and then.
  • General lag/issues, whatsapp not working all the time, iMessaged delayed etc.
  • PS4 wouldn't connect to PSN properly even with upnp set up right

Only 12 hours in and I can already notice a difference. Perhaps there's more I could do to get it working right but with my ASUS router I just plug and play.

No issues here other than the crashing I had.

So far since disabling IPv6 I haven't had anymore crashes, the router has been up for a few days according to the system uptime. I will keep monitoring it, UPnP is still disabled for now. I haven't figured out why mine has an INP of 1.5 and a delay of 8ms on the downstream still (VDSL2), but I'll be moving house in a few weeks so I'll see if it still continues on a newly provisioned connection.

I recently purchased one. I've barely delved into it, but I've set up my LAN and the wifi networks. I have DOS protection on.

The only early gotcha that I had was when I changed the router IP address to match my old BT Homehub, it didn't update the networks, so I lost internet access until I spotted why.
