Just a quick one. If i buy a 3 gang 2 way dimmer switch rated at 250W, does that mean that each dimmer control can have up to 250W running through it or is 250W the total of all 3 together?

I think its the total load on the circuit.

Eg: 1x 250w light or 2x 125w or 5x 50w

So 250w between the two switches.

Thanks but from what i have been reading since i posted, each switch can handly 250W. Will find out for definate tomorrow.
