Any electricians here? need some quick advice.

Our utility company wants to replace the electric meter, due to age I guess?
Anyway I just want to know should I be worrying about unplugging all our stuff? tv's computers etc. The main switch box will be off whilst they do the work but im paranoid something might happen.

I would turn off and unplug whatever you can, however I wouldn't expect anything major to happen if it were left plugged in. At the end of the day it would only be like a powercut or your main RCD tripping.

I would unplug what you can, We did this when my parents has there meter changed.

Fridge / freezers should be ok.

there's no need your ring main will be disconected anyway (via the rcd/mcb )
