Just wondering if anybody's had any experience with 'Hong Kong Post'? Apparently they're slow at getting the parcel out of the country, but as soon as it reaches the United Kingdom customs, it speeds up. I'd like to get the item by the end of the month, but from what I've read on the Internet and with the Chinese New Year on the 23rd, I can't really see it happening. Furthermore, despite the item being given to them on the 18th (I think), the tracking code only began to work today but funnily enough it says they've only just received it today... perhaps this means they've only just scanned it in to their system? I contacted the company, and they said it should be with me within 7 - 10 days... sound realistic?

I think it was about 7 working days altogether when I sent off for a white DualShock 3 controller for my PlayStation. That came from Hong Kong.

Have had airsoft kit delivered in 5 days before from HK when personal imports were easy. Tracking Asian side is a bit hit and miss though. Updates faster once it in UK but can take a few days to clear customs.

Hong Kong post is exceptionally efficient, however regular international airmail is very low priority compared to Speedpost-EMS and the like, and will take some time to get processed from the time of dispatch.

it should be processed within three days, and in the UK two days after that. Any longer is due to HMRC&E and the UK postal service.

Speedpost-EMS will leave the Hong Kong the day after it has been dispatched (sometimes that day!) and arrive in the UK less than 18 hours later.

Alright, thanks guys. I have another question, when it arrives in the UK, should I be able to track it using the same tracking code, but on the Royal Mail or Parcelforce site?

The tracking code is like, RBXXXXXXXXXHK

I bought something in HK from the auction site 9 days before christmas - I fully expected it to arrive after christmas, but instead I was quite chuffed to receive it on the 23rd.

got my airsoft gun from HK, took 2 days to get to the UK then 2 weeks to get delivered by RM.

wife bought something from china, 2 days after buying it, it was delivered to the east coast USA. :)

I had an LED Cree torch delivered from HK a few months back. Took 15 days to arrive from the day I ordered it online. Bought something previously for the PC from another seller in HK and it took 12 days so yeah - I'd say allow 14'ish days on average.

I bought a few items from ebay, small stuff like a wifi antenna that sort of thing and most of the time it took 3 weeks!
