Hi guys,
I am about to do an SSD swap to a new laptop and as it only has one slot I am ideally looking to find an external enclosure that would fit an m2 Nvme (PCI-E) SSD. I can see lots of m2 SATA enclosures, but can't find any PCI-E Nvme ones, and to be honest I am not even sure if they exist or are technically possible. My new laptop also doesn't have a TB3 port.
One workaround is that I assume I can clone the 256GB m2 Nvme from the 256GB SSD that came with the laptop over to a 1TB SATA SSD I have going spare, and then from there over to the 1TB m2 Nvme drive that I just bought.
However, if an enclosure exists I'd like to buy one, also so I can then keep the 256GB one safe for future warranty purposes.
TLR
So, to cut a short story shorter... are there external enclosures around that fit an m2 NVme PCI-E SSD?
