Any good bundles for CPU + MB + Ram

Hi Guys,

So it finally happened.. My computer keeps crashing well not so much a crash it just turns off so..

I am going to have to scrape some cash together to replace all the key components as I cannot prove where the fault lies without spending on older components which will only keep the PC running a little longer if I do manage to pin down what is failing.

Can anyone suggest some Epic Bundles that include a good i5 / i7 (unlocked if possible) with a tried and trusted motherboard with at least 16GB of ram.

Anything else like a PSU (which I will need) included would be a bonus. If there are no bundles worth looking at can anyone recommend any kit aiming for a total spend of no more than £700-£800.

I think I need / want -
CPU (i5 / i7)
Motherboard
16GB Memory
SSD 256GB - 500GB (I have a 3TB hdd for storage which I think is still ok)
PSU - Assume I would need at least a 750W to power a GTX 970 (hopefully in SLI if I ever scrape together enough to buy a second card.)

Thanks in advance :)

Maybe worth noting my current setup -

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GH LGA1155
Asus P8Z68-V PRO Intel Z68 (Socket 1155)
8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
MSI GeForce GTX 970 (New so doesn't need to be replaced)
3TB WD Green Hdd
750w PSU (can't remember the make / model.)

Overclocking is disabled and haven't tried to remove the memory to one stick even though running with 4GB is going to cripple any games I want to test with.. Not sure how easy it will be to test like that.

Never heard of TeamGroup Vulcan memory before what are they like? and do you think I would need to replace the CPU as well with that Motherboard or would my 2500k work with it (if it isn't faulty?)

Also what is your opinion on Gigabyte boards? I used to hear a lot of good things about them but recently people seem against them...

Nuts :( are there any decent 1150 boards around still worth anything? Also I've heard good stuff about the Samsung EVO SSD's.. whats your thoughts on those?

And a side thought.. Would my RAM be compatable? Say could I add 2 x 4GB I already have (if it isn't faulty) + the 2 x 8GB in the new setup?

What about longevity on a SSD? There used to be a lot of rumors about SSDs having short lifespans? Do any of the SSD's above have this problem?

That's good then. It's a little overwhelming to be honest. Any last advice? Or better yet what would your decision / basket be if put in the same situation?

I have re-installed onto a different hard drive as the problem screamed hard drive fault to me but problems appear on 2 hard drives on 2 installs :(

Color doesn't matter to me to be honest my case doesn't have a windowed side panel so I don't see any of it anyway.

I think I'm going to try to slowly upgrade the parts I know will need to be replaced like the PSU.. Am looking at the Corsair Builder Series CX 750W V2 '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020015-UK) £67.99 inc VAT what are you thoughts?

And also an SSD (still deciding on that but am leaning towards spending the extra to get the faster Samsung SSD) Then if that fails and there is still a problem those parts will compliment a new of motherboard, cpu and ram.

Anything else you can think of worth looking into on the first pass?

That would explain it. Its a shame I like to compare make sure overclockers are on the ball with the prices :P

Don't have enough posts to get free delivery yet either so adds £10 to the order :(

I've bitten the bullet.. Bought parts that I believe need to be upgraded but that could still be used in a fuller upgrade should they not resolve the problem (plus a SSD and a Mouse because why the hell not!) :) Thanks for all the advice
