I've tried the Symantec On-line scan which said everything was ok, but I was just wondering if there are any others that people use to make sure everything is fine? :)

Thanks.

Shields Up on grc.com checks ports :)
I agree.
The tests on grc are pretty much the industry standard security checkers for connections.
The podcasts that Steve Gibson does are excellent and i high recommend people listening to them. :)

surely nmap and the like would be a better option for industry
Maybe.
But grc is done by the security industrys version of Bill Gate or John Carmack: Steve Gibson.
