Any Good Single Player Games Recently?

Currently playing Dragon Quest 11......never played them before, but if you like Turn Based JRPG's this one is a real GEM! One of the best JRPG's ive played since Final Fantasy 7/9.

The Division.

Single player? Its as repetitive and grindy as hell with multi player, it would be hell on earth on your own.

OP some of my favourites that may have bypassed your list

1: The Talos Principle - 3D platform / puzzler in the vein of Portal with a great story, interesting world and chock full of secrets
2: Shadow Warrior 1 - Linear FPS with a Lo Wang humour!
3: Mad Max - Decent story and brilliant atmosphere in a massive open world though does a bit repetitive. I bought for £3 and sunk 50 hours into it.
4: Dying Light - Zombie Parkour set in an open world, decent story and loads of content. Be sure to get the enhanced edition.
5: Dishonored 1 & 2 - Great story made by the same guys as Prey, the setting, atmosphere and visuals aren't really like anything else available. I loved them.
6: GTA V - Despite the constant online push which is awful pay to win trash, everyone forgets how good the single player game was.
7: Little Nightmares - Puzzle platformer set in a psychotic awful blood filled world!
8: The Sexy Brutale - Brilliantly innovative groundhog day murder mystery. Superb story!
9: Brothers: A tale of 2 Sons - Short game, great story, massive impact! Will live with me as one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had.
10: Metro 2033 / Last Light - Awesome, post apocalyptic single player FPS's. Get the Redux versions.

Battletech as most of my other suggestions have already been mentioned. The vanilla game is actually a bit bland and benefits from the Battletech Enhanced mod or the Roguetech mod which totally transforms the game but lacks a campaign more of a sandbox.

The 'impact' totally passed me by. I enjoyed the game, but didn't feel moved.

Lots of people say it, though. Perhaps I'm just a monster.

Nah its not just you, people take different things from different games.
I'm the same with some games, there seems to be universal love for the new Tomb Raider games as example yet as a lover of the originals I absolutely hate them as souless incarnations padded out with cutscenes and QTE laden vomit to try and deflect a lack of content.

xcom/xcom 2. Just started a new campaign in xcom2 and boy i forgot how much i love this game. Plenty of expansions and some amazing mods (long war!) really give this series tonnes of play-ability.

Loosing faith in single player games tbh.. I prefer the open world/ended games like Fallout.
Isn't Fallout a single player game  I'm also a fan of single player open world games like the Fallout series more recently I really enjoyed Kingdom Come Deliverance, The Hunter Call of the Wild is also good if you want to chill out.

Hollow Knight, yeah its basically an indy 2d platformer but my god ive never known such great atmosphere and the art style is sublime. It actually doesnt feel like a action platformer, it feels more like an adventure.

As for 'full fat' 3d games, Prey was amazing, the Tomb Raider reboots were also pretty special.

I'm going with this, picked it up last week for £4 and put 3 hours in so far and it's surprising how well it hooks you, every zone is unique and the soundtrack is great.
