Hi,

Just a quick question about a project i'm working on. If you had the data below (or similar) and had to present that in excel, which type of chart would you use?

Code:
Fake Comapny X created the X widget, does this supprise you?

Base // Hardcore enthusiasts // mild enthusiasts

Base 529	//347 //99
	A lot	7%	7%	9%
	A little	33%	32%	36%
	Not at all	60%	61%	55%

I'm thinking a stacked bar chart but presumably one of you guys out their is a statistician and has another opinion.

Cheers

Also slightly confused by the layout of the data but whilst I guess you could go with pie charts I've always been taught that bars are the way to go as people have a harder time decoding and measuring difference from pie charts (area) than they do from bars (length).

Yes it surprises me, why are the fanbois not jumping all over it like a rash.
Do a correlation between the usergroups and find if there is a statistic difference between the groups and their appreciation. On non-scientific investigation it would seem there is little to no statistical difference, so Fake Company X have really really fluffed up on either marketing, or the value of the product.
Probably marketing, as people are stupid and will buy any tosh if they are fanbois.

Now get me S and p values!
