Any guess as to when 64GB iPod Touch will be available?

Id say never. They still need to sell iPod Classics - 64GB is just too close to that territory.

They won't be at the same price point as a Classic and it's only half the capacity.

Really, I feel like cutting down to just 1 type of iPod is a strong sign they are moving away from the HDD medium?

True but I would buy a flash device over a magnetic medium any day if I am going to be dragging it around in my bag/pocket, the magnetic drives fail soo easily.

Apple like simplifying things so I can see them aiming for a small, large capacity Touch style device in the long run.

I'll go with a G2 Touch now and hold out for a 64GB G3 in a years time I reckon. So, two questions:

1 - How long is the delivery time?
2 - Any teething problems I should wait a few weeks for?
3 - Purchase directly from apple?
4 - Are there any cases you can recommend for a G2?

I ordered my G2 32gb Touch on the tuesday night it was launched and it arrived last thursday morning, it's barely been out of my grasp! Fantastic little gadget.
