just got a new graphics card everythin gworks fine but my resolution is 1920 x 1080 but it doesnt fit on the screen and when i do overscan it goes out of the screen im using hdmi to connect it shoud i go back to my dvi to hdmi cable ?

If it's an AMD card (you didnt mention) there is an option in CCC in panel properties to adjust overscan.

I'm sure Nvidia will have something similar.

I think I had the same problem as you. My TV was 1440x900 as it's native and I assume yours is 1920x1080 native. My AMD Card would not show the native res in the options so i tried 1280x720 but it was to big and wouldn't fit the screen. I used the overscan and it still didn't fit and it made the screen blurry. I don't have access to my PC at the moment but there should be a option to create your own custom resolution which worked for me, it fixed my problem for a while till I got a new monitor. I hope that helped a bit. Probably not knowing me.

If I had access to my PC I would be able to tell you where it is but I think I remember it being on a tab called panel or something? I can't remember what the tabs called:p
