Does anybody know what is happening with Overclockers for hardware orders this week?!?
I've never had such shoddy treatment from Overclockers: I spent over £1500 and ordered two items at 9am on 23rd Oct that were marked as "in stock - ready for immediate dispatch" and also paid the premium to get them delivered for the "next day before 10am" delivery.
I'd made arrangements to stay at home until 10am on Weds morning for the delivery, but then realised that despite the "receipt" e-mail to say ordered accepted for the in0stock items and that the funds had been taken, but I'd not had one from DPD to confirm the delivery time. The status has been stuck at "order accepted" until late today, where is it now "in warehouse queue"... a day and a half after it was supposed to be delivered.
Premium rate phone numbers are blocked on all the phones that I have access to (corporate policy) and Overclockers have blocked people from using the landline alternatives, so I've had to rely on the Webnotes... I sent one on Weds morning asking when the order would be delivered since it hadn't arrived by the time I had paid for it to be dleivered and DPD had no record of outstanding orders for my address, then another Webnote on Weds afternoon asking if I should arrange to stay at home again today.... which I did, which was a waste of my time, again.
I've ordered directly or indirectly >£50k worth of equipment over the last 10 years at Overclockers and been responsible for recommending people spend 10x that again, but after this communications black-out I'm pretty fed and would find it very difficult to recommend them again.
The only difference between this order and my previous orders is I've used a new e-mail address (new account) rather then my previous corporate one, so I guess I've just had a taste of what new customers at Overclockers get
Which makes me feel quite guilty for recommending them in the past.
I know this will probably get removed by OC forums admins, but can they please pass a message onto the OC sales teams to start responding to Webnotes as if I've not had any replies to my Webnotes, I'm reposting this on at least a dozen other forums tomorrow to warn people off OCuk if this is how people are now being treated - it's not libel if it's statement of fact.
