Does anybody know what is happening with Overclockers for hardware orders this week?!?

I've never had such shoddy treatment from Overclockers: I spent over £1500 and ordered two items at 9am on 23rd Oct that were marked as "in stock - ready for immediate dispatch" and also paid the premium to get them delivered for the "next day before 10am" delivery.

I'd made arrangements to stay at home until 10am on Weds morning for the delivery, but then realised that despite the "receipt" e-mail to say ordered accepted for the in0stock items and that the funds had been taken, but I'd not had one from DPD to confirm the delivery time. The status has been stuck at "order accepted" until late today, where is it now "in warehouse queue"... a day and a half after it was supposed to be delivered.

Premium rate phone numbers are blocked on all the phones that I have access to (corporate policy) and Overclockers have blocked people from using the landline alternatives, so I've had to rely on the Webnotes... I sent one on Weds morning asking when the order would be delivered since it hadn't arrived by the time I had paid for it to be dleivered and DPD had no record of outstanding orders for my address, then another Webnote on Weds afternoon asking if I should arrange to stay at home again today.... which I did, which was a waste of my time, again.

I've ordered directly or indirectly >£50k worth of equipment over the last 10 years at Overclockers and been responsible for recommending people spend 10x that again, but after this communications black-out I'm pretty fed and would find it very difficult to recommend them again.

The only difference between this order and my previous orders is I've used a new e-mail address (new account) rather then my previous corporate one, so I guess I've just had a taste of what new customers at Overclockers get :( Which makes me feel quite guilty for recommending them in the past.

I know this will probably get removed by OC forums admins, but can they please pass a message onto the OC sales teams to start responding to Webnotes as if I've not had any replies to my Webnotes, I'm reposting this on at least a dozen other forums tomorrow to warn people off OCuk if this is how people are now being treated - it's not libel if it's statement of fact.

Here is a clue. Read the bits in bold especially.

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently experiencing some problems with our webnotes system. Please refer to our news page here for the latest updates and on how to get in touch with us.

However, we are working on it.

Ideally I would recommend using the Customer Service forum. That is usually where I help people.

ive just received an automated reply to a webnote i created 1 to 2 days ago, stating they have received the webnote and will reply shortly. Maybe they are having problems with their email system? Might be worth posting in the customer service forum?

what do u expect. The warehouse is in stoke.

everythings probably been stolen in the move.

think this best describes stoke

On a side note does 5UB get paid by the hour for posting on here? You gotta be loaded by now!!!

They should disable the WebNotes if they're not working - they're just winding people up otherwise!

I'm happy for a MOD to move this thread into the customer services forum, apols for posting in the wrong place: I tried to post in customer services, but there was no new thread option... and from the top level, the "customer service forum" summary said: last post "never", so I assumed it wasn't possible to post in there, but it looks like if you drill down far enough you can post something at one of the lower levels.

Within 10mins of posting the above, I had two automated messages... one confirming my 2nd WebNote and a 3rd saying "Your message has been received - your previous message has not been answered yet so both messages will be answered by the same operator."

I'll walk down the road tomorrow morning and see if I can find a payphone or buy a PAYG sim card to call them, but I'm so fed up now I just want them to cancel the order and I'll find a more reliable company that will deliver to the correct time or at least have the decency to let me know if they can't stand up to their end of the agreement.

They've made the mistake and now I am inconvenienced and have to call a premium rate number to find out what has happened: I don't see why companies shoot themselves in the foot with those premium rate numbers: they're 10p/min and OCuk might be getting 8p/minute in kickback, but will lose £m a year in customers because of it: I've worked for some pretty big corporates and all our office lines, mobiles and company landlines at home have been blocked from 087x and 084x for the last 16 years, so we tend to drop providers that don't have a proper landline alternative - last time I asked the procurement department to get something from a specific supplier (**********), but they refused because there was no landline that they could call - by the time I'd got back to them with the landline alternative via the sayto0870.com website, she had already placed the order elsewhere - it was from somebody who was charging 20% (!) more for the hardware and it took nearly 2 weeks rather than next day because they were ordering direct from the factory, but the fact remains that the company that was contactable got the business and the one with the premium rate number did not.

I'd seen that section about the move on Wednesday at 9am, when I was first trying to contact OCuk, but there was no notice about Webnotes not working...

And this is clearly NOT true:
internet orders are being taken and dispatched as usual.

Order date and time: 23 Oct, 12, 9:18 am.
DPD Next Day Parcel Before 10 Shipping: £24.50

Current date and time: 25 Oct, 12, 7:45 pm.

Duration since delivery was due to arrive: 33h 45mins...

Even if Webnotes was completely dead, a company that valued it's customers would communicate with them if they were going to miss what a clearly time-sensitive delivery by such a huge margin - hell, even DPD now automatically text you if they're going to be 15mins late!

Communications from OCuk since they took >£1500 + £24.50 for the next day delivery over two days ago... absolutely nothing.

ST5...Stoke on trent post code, it's practically right next to 'Stoke on Trent' on Google maps.

As for web orders, I ordered a monitor and it arrived the next day no problems, was B grade to.

Use the customer support forum, you'll get a quick reply and sorted, sometimes things go wrong, the amount you spent is not relevant, plenty here spend that much over the years.

Ive just had something similar happen to me, I placed an order wednesday 24 october at 23:02 and everything was shown as in stock. Today I came home from work I find out that the status shows "Printed in warehouse" but the item holding it up is a sound card. The sound card at last night 22:55, showed 7 instock for immediate dispatch.

But today to it is showing as out of stock and the order wont be recieved till monday/tuesday which I am fuming as I wanted it by the weekend as im off work and plus I got to order a different sound card now, but the problem is the delay of the order turning up next week. im not happy as ive order in the past and the webnote system havent worked either. Not happy.

Thanks @ ACHARRIS... I've now posted in there too (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=23033956#post23033956)

I'll leave the rest of you to carry on with your geography debate... tbh, it looks like debating the difference between the City of London and City of Westminster to me.... but ST1 and ST5 are just closer ;)

lol.

I'll give it this Newcastle isn't as bad as stoke.

In stoke your always looking over your shoulder to see who's about to rob you.

In Newcastle you only have to do it every 5 minutes
