Hey, ive just brought a new set up and this is my first build. Ive got a e8400 on am asus p5k pro board. Problem is i got it to post and into bios the first time no problem but got a warning that i needed to update to support the cpu. I had to go out then so i decided to turn it off and come back to it later. However since ive come back it just doesnt post. All the fans speed up and the drives start but there are no beeps and the screen is blank. Ive checked all the connections and theyre all fine. Any ideas on *** to do?

Cheers for the reply, i tried resetting the CMOS but to no avail. However i only moved the jumper for like 10 seconds like the instructions recommended. Is it worth doing it for longer? i didnt know if it would cause any adverse effects.

Afraid not im on my PS3 at the moment to write this

Gonna move the jumper for 5 mins i think, its a right pain tho my GFX sits over the battery

Yer im thinking of sending it back. ive looked around on the net and it seems like this is a pretty common problem with the P5K range. I just took everything out and put it back piece by piece. Never posted once. Mite get Abit board seem to have good reviews

To be honest ive been messing around this afternoon with it and im thinking its something to do with the memory. putting no sticks in gets a no memory post but soon as i put a stick in it messes up again
