Any ideas?

Hi,

I have managed to recover 149g from a 160g corrupt hdd....

At the moment I have 3 hdd from which I can only connect 2 at any 1 time...

a) 10g which is a temporary measure for xp...
b) 200g of which 100g is in use
c) 160g corrupt drive

I need option A as this is what I boot up with and option C has all the recovered data which i need to transfer to option B....

I have an asus a8v deluxe mobo and it will not let me connect 3 hdd's

Any ideas how I can get all three connected? So I can transfer the data from option C to option B?

Please help...

Get an external USB 2 HDD enclsoure matey would be my suggestion.

How come you can only connect 2 HDDs at a time? I thought the A8V Deluxe had 3 IDE ports giving you the possibility of 6 devices?

If you are stuck with only 2 drives then I think your only option is installing XP on the 200Gb drive and running it with the borked 160.

sorry forgot to mention I have data on the 160g which I need so cannot reformat :-(

Slowly running out of options....

At first I thought my data on the 200g was gone but now I have restored it its a case of where do I put it lol
