Any need to OC..?

I'm looking into building this rig, which will be used for gaming, and I haven't been able to decide on a motherboard as I'm not too sure what I will want/need.

The main question is, do you think I will need to OC the 2500K in order to play new releases on pretty much max. quality, or will it be plenty enough as stock?

If I don't really need to OC then I can stick with the H67 boards and get the Foxconn board for £80. As I'm not looking to have 2 GPU's right now, I can save some money now then when the time comes when I'm forced to get a second card then I can replace the motherboard as well once I've saved up more and price may have fallen.
However, if I probably will need to OC, then I might as well just go for it right now and get one of the more expensive P67 boards that'll allow me to overclock and use two 480's when the time comes.

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
Asus GeForce GTX 480 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Far Cry 2
XFX Pro 650W Core Edition Power Supply
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache
OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)
OCZ Platinum 4 GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600 MHz Ultra Low Voltage Dual Channel Kit
TP-Link 300Mbps Wireless-N PCI Adapter

You would have to be completely insane buying an H67 over a P67 motherboard with your spec. The games will work at stock no problem anyway, I suppose the question is, do you want to run your 2500k at 4.5ghz all day long instead of stock for the meagre difference in motherboard cost and be virtually as quick as a hex core extreme cpu;)

Ah ok. So your advice would be pay that extra now and might as well overclock straight away as no reason not too, ye?

And also, is the PSU I've currently got selected fine if I did overclock along with those other components (heard the 480 is pretty power hungry) or would I need a higher W ?

No, should be absolutely fine. Nvidia recommended wattages are higher than they need to be. Check the reviews, the power consumption at load is a lot lower than 650w, so it should be fine, even more so that you have a very good PSU :)

Paying now will pay dividends in the end, not only for the instant speed increase, but going longer without having to change it.

Are you intending to buy a cooler? Let us know what you want to spend money wise and what you have currently chosen component wise, I will try and beat stulid with a suggested spec:D

You should tell the op how it is for you, as you are running what he's looking at;)
