Am envious of NFS Shift visuals, but didn't get on with the feel of the cars. Had tried all other racers (bar rfactor, LFS, and iRacing) but still keep going back to GTR2. Prefer track based to rallying.

Just thinking that NFS franchise tend to release things in time for crimbo market, but haven't noticed anything yet.

There aren't really any new sims, plenty of rubbish arcade stuff though. LFS is getting a big update fairly soon hopefully, and Netkar Pro has an open beta which drastically improves the game, so much so that its now one of the best.

I hear you about the feel of the cars. Virtually every driving game recently has had some sort of mental handling system, probably from trying so blinkin hard to recreate every nuance of car physics in a game that s also intended to be an arcade/fps/mmorpg....whatever else the devs can chuck into it to make it seem more new and flashy to intice sales.

I miss the simpler days of TOCA and colin mcrae rally. I even still play F1 '97 on the PS1 sometimes.....cause its AWESOME.
