Yeh the keeps are in the abyss, that's why the randoms would've got more involved in pvp alongside the rest of us but now they have another way to get ap's so they will stay away.
I suppose as long as you're on a good server with lots of pvp guilds then it should be ok.

Not sure that any particular server has been picked yet for the Daoc crowd, at least not until server names are confirmed. Usually though something abstract would be picked like whatever server has the shortest/longest name, or the server with the 2nd to last in the Alphabet first letter.
