Looking at getting a G Sync ultra wide to replace my current LG non G Sync. From what I can work out the
PG348Q ROG SWIFT if one of the best but I've seen a few poor reviews to do with backlight bleed.

Any others to consider or wait around for?

For that budget, the Alienware AW3418DW would be the best option - IPS, 34", 3440x1440, G-Sync, 120hz and thin bezels.

But if you wanted an even higher refresh-rate (and were prepared to wait awhile) the Asus 35” PG35VQ should be out this year - VA, 35", 3440x1440, G-Sync, HDR, Quantum Dot, and 200hz.

Thanks, I like the 35" PG35VQ, but I also like the Alienware monitor.

It was on show at CES, but I don't know if anyone here that has seen one, other than Daniel.

The Alienware seems the best on the market right now, though the Asus PG35 at 200Hz could be better, when it is available in a few months, if you like a VA panel.

Doesn't seem to be much around in the form of HDR at UW with g-sync at the moment though. Personally I was looking for a ~38" screen, but there's really nothing at that size with g-sync at the moment or even in the pipeline, so 34" will have to do.

That's an insane amount of money.

Yes... the upcoming G-Sync monitors with HDR are using FALD, which will really push the price up. The soon to be released Acer and Asus models (I think they are the first with G-Sync and HDR) are also 4k and not ultrawide.

I've set myself a price limit of £1500 for gsync ultrawide with hdr, anything more and i'll just wait, imagine the first batch will come with a bucketload of issues anyway

I'm still undecided on HDR for PC gaming... not sure I want 1000 nits hitting me from 2 feet away, especially since I tend to play with room lights low.

If your only concern is BB then you could just buy one online and return it if you dislike it.

My PG348Q has a bit of bleed but you're rarely in a black enough environment to notice it and even when you do, it's far outweighed by the rest of the experience.
