It's got no support for 1680x1050 res on 24" LCD's..so am struck at 1920x1200 or a stupid low res like 1280X720.

1920x1200 is just a little to slow for games like fear,cod2 etc

Nvidia cards let you choose 1680x1050 which give you about an extra 12fps which makes a very big difference at these high resolutions.

Are you sure its not the monitor thats the problem, my X1800XT works fine at 1680x1050

No problem with the monitor..my 7800gtx's has no problems with running 1680x1050 on it.And the omega drivers can run the my x1900xt-x at 1680x1050 no problem..but the omega drivers crash all the time in half-life 2 and i can't overclock with them so i loose what i grain from choosing 1680x1050 over 1920x1200..plus if i try using overclock with the omega drivers overclock only works went it feels like it..

Your not having much luck. :(

I know..

I must have spend hours on this problem..How hard can it be to add 1680x1050 to the drivers..
What really bugs me is that the omega drivers has it..Why has the ones on the cd-rom and the 6.2 not have it..
