I've got a PS3 (which was primarily bought as a blue ray player that could also play the next GTA game) - in the end I bought GTA IV, GTA V, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3 and LA Noir
prior to that I bought a PS2 which was just so I could play GTA San Andreas, I also bought a copy of Canis Canem Edit/Bully both of which I've completed and don't really use
I've completed most of GTA IV and Red Dead.. still need to get into the others, haven't really had time recently - so given that I've still got plenty of gaming left on the PS3 I'm not going to upgrade yet. I also use it for Amazon Prime and Netflix, have given up my TV license since getting those, though occasionally watch some TV at my parent's.
I've got a mini snes on pre-order so that will take up some more time. I guess I will perhaps eventually get a PS4 Pro, I might end up getting GTA V on that too, will probably get a copy of the last of us and some zombie game I saw on youtube.
I had a megadrive as a kid with a bunch of games, I did later buy a dreamcast (with 1 shooting game) but didn't use it much as I became more interested in chasing girls (both of these are in boxes somewhere at my parent's house). The kids down the road had a snes when I had a mega drive so I'm familiar with the snes games too, quite keen to get the snes mini, I might consider a Nintendo switch just to play the latest Mario kart and Zelda games (and perhaps some snes games not included on the mini - yup, Nintendo's marketing re: the mini is likely to work me here). Am also quite tempted to get a few dreamcast games off e-bay but not sure I'll have time... One day, when I sell my London flat and buy a big house outside the city I'll probably dedicate a room to gaming and catch up on some of the stuff I've missed out on - or simply replay a bunch of mega drive, snes and amiga stuff from back in the day
