I think snooker is great. Always watch it.

I put a fiver on Dave Harold from stoke who is playing Ronnie. If dave wins I get £1500 lol.....doubtful though but worth a shot.

Um, still going on?

Damn! My bad!

I watched it when Ronnie was winning at 7 - 0.

I switched back on later and it was off, i automaticly presumed Ronnie won.

Obviously not

i would watch more but

[rant]why the **** do the bbc employ those clowns virgo and thorne. useless gits are still living in the 80s with their lame commentary. "ooh this is a tricky shot". yeah it might be for you, you old codger. but things have changed a little..... now dennis taylor - he's a chap who know's what he's on about. obviously hasn't played at the highest level for years yet he is completely in tune with the game of today. if he commentated every session i'd watch a lot more.....

I think i agree, Dennis Taylor does know what hes on about, he is a true pro.

Every other commentator/potato dont know what they are on about lol, they werent even good, take John Virgin/Virgo for example.. hes crap!

/ Joined in the rant and hi jacked my own thread! HAX :D

While he wasn't one of the greats, Willie Thorne is the one who knows what he is on about, especially when it comes to how to play a shot into the pack or one that requires spin/stun. Clive Everton just sits there and states the obvious, while Virgo and Taylor do their best to be annoying.

As for the snooker, my money would be on Stevens or Doherty

Clive Everton was never a professional snooker player. Billiards I think (similar disciplines, granted).

Can't say I object to any of them. They do often state the obvious, but so do most commentators in most sports. They are paid to commentate, not spectate.

Anyway, unless Dave Harold pulls a miracle, I have tickets to both sessions of Ronnie's 2nd round match on Monday. \o/

I think Hendry will come back to beat Bond, and what about Mcmanus getting whopped  , he's definately gone downhill of late, Williams will be tough to beat by the looks of it, and the Davis/Murphy match should be a good one with a bit of luck, Davis can still play thats for sure. :)

You can never tell with Ronnie though, if he's playing well he should be able to win it, but hes just hit and miss i think, sometimes hes playing awesome, and other times hes sick as a chip and on about throwing it all in to take up gardening or summit. :D
