Any one watching the world champs! (snooker) ** spoilers **

OMFG the Hendry v Bond match is amazing! That last frame was about an hour long and that in-off from Bond to win the match was unreal! The most exciting game of snooker I've seen in ages, down to another final black!

Totally wrote off my Easter weekend watching the snooker, still wondering how John Parrott even got in the tournament!

Hendry was literally speechless after his five-frame winning streak in the middle of the match failed to see him through to the second round.

In the post-match news conference he spoke two sentences.

Asked if it was a cruel way to lose he replied "I suppose", before ignoring a question about his performance and just shrugging when he was asked about the table.

When asked where this defeat ranked among others in his career, he responded "Along with all the rest."

Suprise suprise, hendry being his usual childish self whenever he loses.

Sounds fair enough to me, is he supposed to be happy when he gets beaten?

He's like that all the time though, you see plenty players giving interviews when they get beaten and they will still talk about the match how they played what went wrong etc. Whenever hendry loses its like "how dare it happen to the almighty hendry" and he just acts like a child.

Several of the big 'stars' are in a bit of a huff anyway over the 888.com sponsorship. There were threats that they wouldn't even attend press conferences, so this may have something to do with it too.

Anyway, I think I'd be pretty disappointed over going out like that too.

What were the complaints about that sponsorship about anyway? I remember seeing something in the paper about it but never bothered reading it.

A lot of the players have personal sponsorship deals with other online gambling sites, and there is a exclusivity clause in the event sponsorship contract.

It was the same deal with Embassy, so I don't see what else the players expected.

use to hate snooker (on tv any way) but got into it last year now watch it when i get a chance. The hendry and bond game was fantastic. Sullivan really seems to be on top performace, very calm and collected im tempted to put some ££ on him to win. Ive yet to see anyone else play in such a manor in this tournament, he just seems comfortable already.

How close is that.

Hendry v Bond, 9 frames all, 48 points all, respotted black. It's 1985 all over again.

Yeah i could'nt believe that, Bond potted the black for the win, and Hendry started unscrewing his cue, then the white dropped into the middle to make it a tie, and a respotted black.

I thought Hendry would have stole it then, but Bond potted it again to win for sure, cracking match that. :)

do you think snooker gets good ratings on the tv??

i mean even my mother watches snooker now so im sure its getting more and more popular.

I think more of the older people watch snooker. You always hear old men talking about it lol.

Ryan Day (Ronnie's potential next round opposition) isn't doing so bad right now at 7-1 against Joe Perry.

Yea, good performance by him.

Great stuff by Bond :D In off. Could you of even predicted that :p

My man Williams to play Selby in the next round. Thats going to be tough. Selby played very well to beat Higgins. Thats got to count for something.
