any other options other than mem test 86

i want to check my ram out but i can not get memtest 86 to boot from USB on my new mobo it worked ok on my old socket 939 set-up but this Top end mobo can not boot from usb for some reason. :mad:

tried everthing i can think of so now looking for another option to memtest 86

Boot memtest from cd or from hard drive instead.

It's very unlikely that your motherboard cannot boot from usb, are you certain you set up the stick correctly?

Google for & burn the Ultimate Boot CD.

It's a bit ronseal, but basically it's the handiest thing I've ever used. Bootable CD with a stack of utils on it, including Memtest86

Yeah, just put it on a CD. Pretty much every Linux boot CD has it on also...

You don't need an alternative to MemTest86+, you need to either burn it to disk, or sort your motherboard boot issue.
