Right since my dell died ive been scavenging all the bits out of it and putting them into my crap laptop to make it a bit quicker. So far Ive managed to do the ram going from 512mb to 2gb and the optical drive but now I wanna do the hard disk.
That'll mean I have a 100gb 7200rpm hitachi deskstar as apposed to the crappy 60gb 5400rpm I currently have in here.
Problem is... I need to keep the image and all partitions from my 60gb intact and basically just move the whole thing over from the 60gb to the 100gb so I can just drop it in.
Anyway of doing this?
Its also an acer lappy so I need to keep the recovery partition and then my normal windows partition - theres also a 4mb partition on there that would probably go accross.
I have norton ghost12 on boot cd but im not sure if this will actually do the job.
any ideas?
