Current rig is here:

I'm thinking of changing the 8800GTX for a 4870 x2 and putting this on it's own cooling loop.

Here is the shopping list:

XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB GDDR5
EK 4870 X2 Acrylic Full Cover VGA Water Block
Swiftech MCR220-QP Dual 120mm Radiator
XSPC Dual 750 Bay Reservoir & Pump - Clear (to add to the existing one I have)
Barbs, new tubing and stuff

Now the dual rad will have to go at the bottom so some modding needs to be done here. I have seen someone do this but can't find the pics.. so if you can help that would be great.

I'm a little concerned if my Corsair 620 is up for the job as this will be powering the 4870 x2, another two 120mm fans, plus another pump.

any particular reason you want rid of the 8800gtx ?

have you thought about going for a 4890 /275 gtx ?

psu wise would have thought it would be close with the x2 4870 and new pump, any idea of what sort of usage your current and new pumps will require from the psu ?

I'll have to work these out.. I have a watt meter..

It's a good question why, I just fancy a new project of my own.. Not done anything for a year now except other peoples all the time. :)

how about just doing the dual loop as project with the 8800GTX or is that too easy and quick for you to do and you want more of a challenge :D

hahaha, good advice there actually!

But to be honest, surely the 8800GTX is fine for most games still? No real need for an upgrade unless you want Crysis on super mega awsome uber amazing settings :p
