Any ravers in here?

90-92 forget rest :D
Amen to that (brother)! ;)

I've been into oldskool hardcore music from 1990 but hated gabba and can't stand too vocally happy hardcore.

My raving days were limited from 1993 to around 1996, did a few World Dances, Adrenalin, Fusion, etc, but really wanted to experience something like Amnesia or the Technodrome at Helter Skelter.

And there are just too many sub-genres nowadays!

I think I've gone through most dance genres over the years! When I was 11 I bought KWS - Please Don't Go (on 7" vinyl no less) and on the flipside was some tune called Game Boy. It was all hardcore ravey breakbeaty madness, I was like WTF is this. Was hooked there on in!

Rave, hardcore, jungle, drum and bass, speed garage to UK garage/2 step, grime, dubstep, house, trance, I think I'm into the lot but these days I don't follow one specific genre as much as I would have as a younger when I had time to burn.

Don't think I'll ever grow outta it :)

Just to make it clear, you cant party in England. That isn't partying. Its like kindergarten.

I like Psy Trance.

To be precise, Forrest/Dark Psy.

If you have no idea what i mean then -

Yeah, I remember 3 Day all-weekenders in Hannover way back in the 90's.... Germany's licensing laws are just so relaxed.

Psy trance parties in London back in 00's were so much better than anything else. Lack of drunks was such a breath of fresh air. Always had a soft spot for breakbeat especially from the late 90's to early 00's in its various forms except drum and base/ jungle, never liked.

I'm 32, the only music I ever listen to is electronic, ranging through headliners such as Chemical Brothers, Underworld etc. through to Detroit Techno and everything in between - barring garage, dubstep, D&B. 4/4 baby :p

My taste typically goes full circle. It's been my passion since, wow, maybe 10 years old.

Back in the early/mid 90s, this was my staple of rave music, I'll just leave a taster here. Scottish and North East England folks will know the scene well.

My history goes a little something like this (spot the It's Like That reference)

2004: Trance, progressive trance, breakbeat
2005: Trance, progressive trance, breakbeat, funky house, deep house
2006: Trance, progressive trance, breakbeat, funky house, deep house, psy trance
2007: Trance, progressive trance, hard trance, psy trance
2008: Trance, progressive trance, psy trance
2009: Trance, progressive trance, psy trance, tech trance

2014: Trance, progressive trance, tech trance, progressive house, deep house, funky house, electro

Note that constant ;)

1997-2000 was the best years of Trance for me. After that, I've rarely listened to it. All subjective as you say, but I'm surprised you still have so much love for it.

I went looking if Home of Music was still kicking about out of curiousity, how long ago did that fall under? Had some good times on there, can remember you, Rebel, Neil, Oswald.... haha, cant believe I still remember some of them.

It's still able to elicit both an emotional and physical response from me, on the train in to work, and I still get the massive grin and goosebumps from some trance, no other genre has consistently done that for me :D

I remember HoM, haha, technically the first forum I ever joined.
