Any reason not to go with EE FTTP?

Hi All Currently on Plusnet FTTP but now have FTTP avaliable. Annoyingly Plusnet dont offer this so i have to change ISP. EE currently offering me a fairly decent deal on thier 900/110 service. They dont offer a static i.p so will have to work something out for that but apart from that from what i can tell its just using the exact same openreach hardware as BT? Zen are massively more money and round here all i get is tweets from Zen saying "we are working on it being down" so not fussed by them.
Any terrible expereicnce with EE?
 
EE are fine. Had a couple of friends move to them from Vodafone to avoid the network congestion and it was an instant improvement.

thats what i want to hear :) Customer service asside i would expect it to be a similar "uptime" to my plusnet given they are both "owned" by BT.
 
EE, Plusnet and BT are the company so should essentially be the same on migration although it depends on what level of CS you want.
 
I work for BT and as previously stated BT, EE, and PlusNet are all subsidiaries of the wider BT Group and run as independent companies. All of which are use Openreach as their network supplier (so do another 400+ CPs within the UK). CP's can install their own additional diagnostic/monitoring equipment, and some may take wholesale packages with better service level agreements. FTTP service is night and day over any ADSL or FTTC connection.

https://www.bt.com/broadband/complete-wifi is one of the newest packages available, no sales pitch from me as i don't deal with sales, I deal with Faults.

All major Consumer CP's use Dynamic DNS as majority of customers don't even know what an IP address is never mind wanting a fixed one. Business CP's offer Fixed but normally at additional costs

That was the only downside to leaving plusnet they offered a fixed I.P for a one off fee of a fiver (for life) I would love to take a business package but just cannot justify the additional cost for my own personal use :)
 
how often does the ip address change? on virgin im on dynamic ip but it doesnt seem to change for a very long time as in over 3 or 4 months on the same ip before it changes. maybe even longer.
