any reason not to install sp2 on xp?

i'm thinking of getting a dual core processor soon (an x2) so that got me thinking that i should install sp2 - i only have sp1 at the moment.

but i'm apprehensive

is there any reason why i shouldn't install sp2?????

you should def be running sp2, its far more stable, let alone the security side of it

eh? how can i do that? can't i just apply the updates using automatic updates?

its only for the one pc at home so i'll just do it using the automatic updates - i'm just weary of changing anything drastic - i would hate to reinstall everything again - i guess i'll bite the bullet and do it at the weekend
