Any reason not to use exFat?

I have a USB drive which I want read and write capabilities from both OSX and Windows. exFat seems to fit the bill as I can have any files I want on there (size) and it will be readable and writable from both.

Is there any reason not to use exFAT?

If it's only the latest OSX and Windows you're using then there won't be a problem.

Only Mac OSX 10.6.5 and later support exFAT, Windows has support for it from XP onwards.
