Any reviews for E6600 vs E8500 vs Q6600 vs Q9450

Are you in a mood again easy?! :D

Chill out man...

Rest assured that your new CPU purchase will perform swimmingly at Video Encoding using SSE4 instructions, which I believe is what you want it for? For the rest of the computing world, it will be a little better than what is around at the moment.

You seem a little defensive of the Yorkfield CPU? Or am I just imagining it?

I'm just a bit sick of people comparing CPU gaming performance when all

modern games are GPU dependant.

And when reviewers cannot even test the new capabilities of a CPU when

comparing old and new tech.

Its pointless.

Aye, well it is early days I suppose. There aren't many Yorkies out there at the moment, and I'm sure the reviews you seek will come.

As a way of showing differences in performance between CPU's though, games at low resolutions to remove the GPU limitations are not a bad way of doing it.

I am surprsed that SSE4 benchmarks seem so thin on the ground though.

lol your a right leary/cocky one you, I bet everyone on here thinks the same. :D

Not everyone on here knows this, not everyone lives on these forums either, the person asked a question & I answered it - simple as, personally I dont give a monkeys about encoding, I play games thats all I'm concerned about & those were the results I posted.

I wasn't even referring to your post of benchies.So don't flatter yourself!:D

I was wondering why a reviewer would post comparisons of Q9300 and Q6600

at different clock speeds and not even include a SS4 test.

A total pointless amatuer approach.

Dunno why you cannot multiple quote, its not rocket science now is it. Maybe Nelly does have a point :D
