Do any of you use the special lights and do you find them helpful?

Doctor thinks I have possibly developed it as I have passed a physical examination yet am constantly feeling depressed, tired, inability to concentrate, irritability and more.

I was the same last year and as soon as spring came round I was much more back to my old self.

I've never heard of this before, just read up on it to see what it was.

When I'm feeling blue, I treat myself to new boxers and socks, can't beat fresh undies :)

I think im affected by this. When my alarm goes off this time of year I simply lean over and put the en suite bathroom light on, I then doze off for 15 minutes and the light seems to make a difference when I finally wake.

Yes I have a lack of vitamin D, which is made worse by the lack of sunlight around this time of the year.

I have to go for injections (in my arse....good times :P) and drink a vitamin D suppliment drink with meals.

I think the medical stuff helps, but in general a kick up my own backside, to shake me out of it when I start to feel down helps more.

My dad gets it. Think I do a bit as well get kinda grumpy some days and lethargic. Papa has a light he says it makes a difference... Ive always been too lazy to use it for prolonged periods to see if it works

There was a good segment on one of James mays program's about lighting and body clocks/reactions.
The future is going to be flexible lighting. During the day have it reassemble the sun and as you get latter change to different wave lengths.
Even if you don't get sad, modern lifestyles really mess up the body clock as does working under artificial lights in the office.

My wife actually just ordered an alarm clock which does something similar.
It has a built in bulb and slowly starts to light up your room an hour before the alarm is due to go off. It's supposed to mimic the sunrise or something.
