I'm still hunting around for the best deal on the Triton T80Z Thermostatic either 8.5kw or 9.5kw.

So ended up getting the Triton Opal 3 in chrome/matt black (9.5Kw)for £153 for some reason the plain white model was £7 more.

Should be getting it fitted Sunday.

well new shower has now been fitted by my friend and luckily everything went without a hitch.

It is also nice now not to have to wait 20 minutes for hot water but have it instantly.

There was some new drilling required for the shower pole itself as the screw holes were in a slightly different placement than the old one but it is now all in and working wonderfully well.

Truth be told the internals of the opal 3 look pretty much identical to the opal 2. I am sure some bits have been improved but on a quick visual they look pretty much the same.
