any spotted any tyre offers?

What?

How can it cost that for fitting in the first place?
Fitting large tyres will use up most of that, or if you change a spare as well.
It's hilarious how expensive it is now, we have tyre machines at our unit's, so I forget how much they rip people off now.

The size of the wheel/tyre has nothing to do with the price Nasher... Dunno where you got that from, they must be taking you for a ride if they're claiming that lol.
Kwikfitt wanted £35 per wheel to fit/balance a 205/45/17 13 years ago lmao PER wheel. It's about that now last time I heard in most places, and that can be for a 15 or 21" it makes no difference, nor the profile/width.

I called some places and they wanted £20-£25 per corner to change tyres over although I could buy cheep new tyres £42 each fully fitted. One of the tyres places started going into some unhinged rant cursing about ******* buying tyres online etc and I had to hang up the phone and another place got arsey also. I did not want new tyres fitted I was asking about swapping my current tyres onto a set of OEM alloys I could've of bought as I was having a hard time sourcing a steel wheel for my car as it was slowly leaking air though of course this tyre place the diagnosed the steel wheel said my front tyres where old/worn but I kept quiet about the MOT the car had a couple of weeks ago.

I guess its to stop people buying tyres cheep online and getting them fitted cheeper at a tyre place rather then them selling you the tyres and fitting, funny how it took them 5 mins to diagnose the air leak on the steel wheel but the want £80+ to change 4 tyres over.

Haha, £42 fitted, sounds like remoulds, be careful mate. There are some cheap tyres that are surprisingly good though, even in the wet. Used to use 'Sunny' or 'Windforce' on my drift cars at the rear, and you'd be surprised how grippy they were for £45 a tyre (years ago this was mind).
Haha, sounds about right, so many places won't even fit tyres you provide now even if new  it's all about greed now, as with a lot of garages that wont fit supplied parts even if oem!
Yeah man people will con you where ever possible now, it's all about making as money as possible supplying you the parts/tyres marked up then stinging you for the labour, or if they will fit your supplied parts they'll increase the labour. Glad I do everything myself as do all my mates. Makes the car feel unique/your own/irreplaceable/special then too.

Kwik fit doing 10% of a pair of branded or 20% off 4 premium tyres fitted.
You can also take advantage of this using PayPal pay in 3 which is interest free to spread the cost and still get the discount.

I assume no one would price match costco , because otherwise I have typically done that at euromaster which is close versus kwik-fit/halfords/f1 ... who would require a gallon of petrol there&back

f1 auto centre are fully booked, stupid you need to book a time and day to fit tyres... there was a deal on ebay aswell that had a FREE fitting code , buy tyres on ebay and they get delivered to an f1 auto centre and theyll fit, i rang f1 and they told me id be looking at jan now before they can fit a set of tyres.

Some places do charge differently depending on tyre size.

Are all your local F1 autocentres full? Change your post code and see if there are any further afield?

Guessing you gone for the eagle F1 deal?

For the last 10 years I've always bought second hand tyres - They usually get imported from Germany and cost about £20 whilst still perfectly legal here (I believe Germans have to buy new winter tyres each year or something like that, so the old ones get exported). Better than paying £95 a tyre in kwik fit

interesting comment accompanying hotuk discussion of f1 deal
Looks a good offer but be careful with F1 Autocentres. I bought 4x Michelin CrossClimates 2s during Black Friday only to be contacted a day later after I ‘d paid online and booked in at my local F1 Autocentre by F1 to tell me they couldn’t get the tyres. When I asked why they were still advertising them if they didn’t have them in stock I was told that they buy tyres through a third party not direct and that tyres are subject to availability (it’s in their t’s & c’s apparently). They then tried to sell me some other tyres which I didn’t want. I get the impression they often advertise tyres they don’t have in stock on an amazing deal with a view to selling an overstocked alternative. Took me well over a week to get a full refund! Shame really because they use to be very good.

so where do you buy them ? yes I can believe hire car companies just discard at the end of summer season ....
and I think judging by sidewall state you could evaluate whether a tyre has been misused (on that nice pot-hole free german 'tarmac' )

Quite a few second hand tyre place in Leeds so I guess it's pretty much the same around the country. Never had a problem with them and passed MOT

Foaming I missed the Costco goodyear offer 235 50 19 Goodyear Vortex4's
After the discounts was just over 440 for a set, tried to order online day before the offer ended... no stock :(
Checking now most places are wanting almost 200 a corner!

They did pass the MOTbut the front out shoulders are looking a little low in my eyes, rest of the tyre is a good few mm
Rears are on4/5mm but one apparantly needs replaced due to a cut (according to skoda) wheres neither myself or costco were able to locate any cuts
