Any successor to Company of Heroes?

COH Online came out ages ago, I think its been canned for some reason.

Not sure if its coming back...

"Company of Heroes Online was a free MMO real-time strategy computer game developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ. The open beta for the game started on 2 September 2010 and closed on 31 March 2011."

So maybe there will be a final release at some point?
 
They canned Company of Heroes online since it was f2p and relied on micro transactions but i don't think many people actually paidreal money so it was canned before its final release.

Was a shame since it was really good!
 
I enjoy Men of War: Assault more than Company of heroes. I like the inventory management where you could steal a heavy machine gun from a jeep, or snatch ammo from dead units.
 
Whilst looking for a decent WWII strategy game, I've realised that I bought Men of War: Gold Edition on Steam ages ago and have never played it. Now reading this thread, I've noticed people talking about MoW: Assault Squad being the best version. Is this just a multi-player add-on? I'll only be playing single player. Which version of MoW is best for single player?
 
MoW: Assault Squad doesn't have any single player to speak of, so Men of War: Gold Edition is the right one for you :)

Definately look at Multiplayer though, Men of War has it, it's just not as honed as MoW:AS and the ruskies were overpowered in some of the later patches imo.
 
Original Men of War has the best sp experience.

Assault Squad has single player but its all about the multi player with this one.
 
Mow seemed like an fps with some rpg elements added on.

coh is more like, 'the cowboys are shooting at us' or 'they are scratching your paint helmut'.

Shall ee crush them, or shoot them?

Genius but i can't post the sweary ones.

Assault squad is a lot more multiplayer focused. There are quite a lot of changes done in comparison to the mp in vMen of War that makes the mulitplayer a whole lot better.

I never fancied the single player in the men of war games, but the mulitplayer I have been hooked on for a long time now, far superior to CoH imo. All it needs is a replay function
 
It would be brilliant to do a Pacific theatre version, I reckon a Japanese army would be brilliant in CoH! I could think of many different types of upgrade and bonus point awards. Jungle maps, island invasions, could be brilliant. If only.
