yerh i thought about the core 2 infact had my mind totaly set on it but i read a QnA in custom pc and they said that it would be better for an amd x2 6000 rarther than a 1.8ghz core 2 but the core 2 offers more overclocking etc ..... so am at a lost im a amd fanboy but the core 2 is better so would you recomend it ?
 
This plus your Sharkoon case is a little over the £500 but should overclock pretty well, even on stock cooling and the graphics card is a fair bit better. :)

Core2Duo all day long I went from AMD X2 system to Intel and never looked back. To be honest you get any Core2Duo and it will clock to 2.8GHz with a good mobo. :D
 
Does anyone have a Abit IB9 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard?? Just wondering how well it overclocks in comparison to the Gigabyte DS3R.
