any thoughts before building?

this build is about £850 to £900.

Should i go for i7? or i5 4670k? or maybe go with i5 and a better gpu ? to be honest some of my friends suggesting Nvidia gpu but i don't know which one. I will be doing a lot of photo editing [pts + LR] and gaming possible today game and in the next few years without highest setting. i don't mind playing medium without lagging. or maybe high setting. and i don't plan to overclock. so please suggest a better or any comment on a pc with futureproof for the next 3~4 years. then i will upgrade. maybe an ssd in the near 5 to 6 months. cheers.

Fast RAM makes a PC more efficient, also I'm not sure about Crucial RAM (Balistix, Tracer, sport etc) and Giga Z87 boards, I think theres some random compatibility issues that pop up from time to time.

just a heads up but the MSI 7870 Black Night isn't a xt/le version of the 7870 it's just the standard one so not really that close to 7950 performance. They don't seem to be selling any xt's right now though which is a shame, were on sale last week.

I think the 660's, for a new build, have had their day now. There are better, quicker and more efficient cards out there.
