How much would you guess it to cost to tile a room floor to ceiling all walls, dimentions are 2.10 x 2.10 x 2.60m (lbh)

Just a guestimate so I know the guy I have coming doesn't take the preverbial! :)

If you are supplying the tiles I'd guesstimate £350 based on 10 hours at £35 an hour. In reality it'll probably be less hours and a higher labour rate if you're in the SE.
Then you need to factor in things like pipes etc to tile around and any complications and tile cutting required.

Usually priced by the SQ metre here.

£350 seems a fair price tbh, it won't take him that long if all the walls are bare.

**ninja edit**

In fact £350 seems a bit steep after looking at the dimensions properly.

It'd only take him around 4-5 hours (again if ther'es no obstacles)

there is one window on one of the walls other than the toilet and sink but they can come off easy enough, I have stripped the walls back and sanded them twice ( woodchip :( ). I've tiled one wall but buggered a small section so he'll need to re-do roughly half of that wall, I lost the rag put the hammer through the wall and vouched never to do tiling again lol  :D

He's a family friend is going to do it for £5 an hour, so I think I've got a bargain then.. I've seen his own house and his tiling is TRICK! :)

Nice one mate, i wouldn't do any job for less than £10 per hour to family/friends.

PMSL at the image of you losing your rag though ;)

i do tiling and worked with a tiler for ages its about £20sq/m u dont charge more for having a window or having pipes to go around. If there is a pattern in it and not straight forward it can be £25sq/m and things like stone marble can go upto £35sq/m.

It sounds like a lot but a good tiler wont take hours on it they can be done quickly and get a lot done so charging an hrly rate does not work :P It seems like a lot but u have the labour and the cost of materials i.e adhesive/grout which aint "that" cheap

yeah I've bought everything in, just 6" by 6" white. Keeping it simple and cheap! :) Plus white in bathrooms never really goes out of fashion does it?

Yeah i was giving an example for if he was being charged at an hourly rate i.e if there was any obstacles it would take the guy longer- SQ/M is the norm with tiling.

Do they charge callout and all that stuff? Never paid anyone to do tiling before. Doubt I ever will.

I put the shower in which is particularly nice when there is some 45-50cm crawl space under the floor (for wiring & piping)/sink etc.. fitted carpets/laminate/floortiles, put in new kitchen yada yada....

but when I lose the rag with a job I'll never touch it again.

I had a Renault 19 I was trying to the exhaust pully off bout a year or so back, but the nut rounded in the head and I couldn't remove it / head buggered. So the inlet pully got bounced off a tree and the tools thrown around a bit like a kid... I never went back to it. Two months later I hadn't touched it so gave it to a mate. lol ah well :D
