Hi
I have quite a specific requirement.

we are looking for a UK holiday for 5 probably not Scotland or Cornwall as a bit too far to go.

my mum can't get about much but can walk, needs to be accessible.with buggy access ideally with acces to arcades , pubs, restaurants beach etc walking / buggy distance.
also have an 8 year old but isn't a huge beach kid (we still want a beach tho) but he prefers pools, slides and arcades

fairly high end either lodge or house and with a private hot tub.

a house would be fine but so would a holiday park esp if it has entertainment for kids (pool , slides etc)
price isn't such an issue

we have been looking for ages and whilst there are some stunning properties , they tend to be quite remote which isn't great for my mum and we can't fit a buggy in our car to take it in the car.

thanks.

Devon cliffs caravan park? You can normally get the disabled friendly lodges for extra space and not too much cost. I'm sure there are others. I normally use hobourne

Just be careful with any independent operators:

A 25-year-old woman has lost a leg due to an infection which doctors suspect was caused by bacteria from a hot tub.

Lauren Briggs developed a life-threatening case of meningitis after spending an evening with a group of people in her friend’s hot tub in Essex.

Surgeons amputated her right leg below the knee as well as the toes on her left foot, leaving her wheelchair-bound until she can learn to use a prosthesis.

Lauren said: ‘Doctors told me I may have contracted the infection through a small cut on my foot whilst in the hot tub.

They should have drained and refilled the hot tub before you arrive, whether all operators actually do is another matter.

wow that sucks .... I often wonder whether the water is changed for each new customer, however that said whilst it is horrible (my wife works with a scientist who contracted meningitis whilst she was on location in some remote foreign village and she lost both legs and some fingers on both hands , a truly vile illness.

however imo you can't worry about stuff like that otherwise you would never live. every time I scuba dive (it's been a while sadly) the equipment could fail, every time on a plane it could crash, hell the most dangerous think I do is probably crossing the road after I have had a bunch of beers.

if my number is up it is up. I just hope it's not today..... or tomorrow but I ain't gonna not do stuff just in case.

oh agreed, if that news story occurred at an airbnb, would she have any form of legal standing given she paid for the environment to be at a safe level?

From what I read, she was infected through a friends hot tub, one thats probably been sat in their garden for months without changing the water but cycling the water every weekend, add 8 people to the mix, surprised only one of them got ill.

I know someone who goes to a holiday park in Skegness every year, they get a lodge type thing in there that has a hot tub. Never been personally but I think that might tick all the boxes?

Center Parcs are usually in the middle of nowhere so wouldn't meet the beach requirement.
