Hello there!

So, the first ever PC game I owned was the original Unreal Tournament. I got it with a Time PC that our family bought many, many years ago.

Luckily, I still have my disc! So these past couple of days I've been really getting back into it, and I've just got UT 2004, so I'm looking forward to trying that one too.

What I like the most is how bad it looks, but how much fun it is to play. And since my PC is just about as good as the Time PC we used to have, it's just about the only game I can actually play!

So, I just wondered if there was anyone out there who either owned, played, or even still plays this game?

- Anthony.

I play ut 2004 occasionally regularly but then can go without playing for weeks.

Its my most played game ever.

Mainly play the onslaught mode but also play assault and vehicle capture the flag.

I reccomend the death warrant onslaught server, its american but I have had no problems with lag. Best custom map selection you can find.

Enjoy.

Ooh, thanks for that! I'll clear up some space of my hard drive and get 2004 installed :)

I still load up UT occasionally, one of those games that reminds me how awesome games can truly be. *old fart* :D

UT2004 is awesome for the vehicles, but for pure fps win I'd pick GOTY every time :)

GOTY was awesome, even to this day nothing rivals the gameplay of that. It's like a better version of Quake!

I've got the original unreal and have updated it with patches and better textures from oldunreal.com and newbiesplayground.com. Zoras key coop is very good.

Love Unreal and Unreal Tournament. Get all nostaligiac every time I her the music. Sometimes have the soundtrack on in my car :D
Sadly I never really got to play it online in its prime, had a rubbish PC and poor internet. UT2004 however I spent insane amounts of hours on online :)

I spent many, many hours playing UT. Got into the clan scene (albeit not too serious) and could keep my own against the top-tier players (before old age caught up with me that is :p)
Started my mapping career with UT before moving on to UT2k4 which I also loved.

I was always a fan of vanilla DM and CTF but the last time I looked it was all TAM (all spam, no strategy) or Insta (Booooorrrrrring!)

VCTF RPG was fun for UT2k4 though.

I loved UT99 as well. I played it a lot when I was younger and still love it to this day. I much prefer the gameplay to most modern online shooters. I especially loved instagib.

After a while there were quite a lot of aim bots doing the rounds though, which was a major problem in instagib.

Glad to see I'm not the only one!

Didn't particularly think I would be, but it's always nice to see people with a keen interest. I can play UT for hours on end, but stick for example, Call of Duty on and I'm bored after 20 minutes.

90's kid. That's probably the cause.

:D

We had an OcUK server back in 2006. It was totally amazeface.

Who's up for a server again?
