I have arranged insurance. I know it wont cover anything that is linked to Cystitis that shes had twice in the past few years but the excess is only £95

it can be well worth it I think, my mum has had it for her dog and sadly has had to make use of it a few times, even with an increase in premiums in subsequent years it has been worth it overall

Seems that you are not clear on what the potential significance of 1 degree is for your cat. Next time you see your vet you need to fully establish what their concerns are, what could happen to the cat if untreated etc. Also make clear that you have limited finances as the default mode of the vet is to treat the animal and not your wallet. You pay good money for your consultation so do not leave until you have answers to all of your questions.
