Any way of getting a contract in my own name at 17?

Just wondering if there's any possible way of getting a contract in my own name at 17?

I have a steady job and earn more than enough to pay for a contract every month. I can't get it under either my mumss or dad's name as they both have the worst credit ratings in exsistance.

I'm sick to death of having to top up every week when I know that I could be getting a much better deal on contract.

You may find that the fact that your parents have poor credit ratings will in its self make it difficult for you to get a contract

Granparents, other familys address u could use.

I dont think they do much more than a basic credit check, should be ok with a bank account, can remember if i was under 18 when i got my first contract, had my bank account from 16 though.

If you're 17 they'll prob ask for your parents to sign a statement saying they'll cover your bills if you default... Even if it is your name on the contract.

Best bet is to go into a big phone shop and try and find someone who can help you, they'll be desperate for a sale so they usually go out of their way to find someway of signing you up!
